Services / Clean-up
Autumn clean-up and leaf collection
Leaves are collected from the lawn, beds, gutters and paths before they smother the grass and clog the drainage. Last mowing and getting the garden ready for winter.
When
October–December
How often
One to three times in autumn
One visit
Two hours to a day
How it's done
Leaves are gathered with a blower and rake, and from the lawn also with a mower with a collector. Healthy leaves can stay as mulch in the beds or go to compost. Diseased ones, such as walnut leaves or leaves with spots, are hauled away.
When we say no
We don't burn leaves in the yard. It's prohibited, and it annoys the neighbors.
Good to know
One visit at the end of leaf fall is rarely enough. With large trees, plan for two or three visits.
